Question Number: 15018Mechanics 3/21/2007RE: Rec and select Under 13 Willie Rodriguez of Cleburne, TX asks...Can a keeper's body be across the goal box and he handle the ball as long as he handles it inside the box? i.e. The keeper slides on the ball and his feet cross the line but his hands are still inside the box. Answer provided by Referee Ben Mueller It is all about where the ball is. If the ball is in penalty area, then the keeper can handle the ball even if his body is outside. The position of the ball is all that matters.
