Question Number: 15057Mechanics 3/28/2007RE: C3 Adult Carlo Cosentino of Brockville, Ontario Canada asks...Where can an assistant referee stand on a corner kick? Can he/she move the 10yd area at the goal line if the corner is to be taken on his opposite side? Answer provided by Referee Chuck Fleischer Can stand and where is it best to stand are two different things. What the assistant needs to see is the ball across the goal line, the whole length of the goal line. Standing at the corner flag offers that vantage point. If the corner flag interferes with your vision then stand with the flag at your back.
Regards,
