When I coached teams , I made it a prerecquiste for any travel or elite team to take the basic referee course to be able to be the center circle is different than when you watch as a spectator or feel as a player. I felt it gave them a sense of the diffiulties an official has in mnanaging a game as well as give them knowledge, so as players knowing the LOTG they can use it to make better tactical deisions. Cheers Have a very Merry Christmas
