Question Number: 10495Law 1- The Field 11/30/2005RE: 7 Adult Steve of , asks...On mini soccer ( under 11's ) I was asked WHERE do they take a penalty kick FROM, AS they thought ten yards was too far FROM the goal FOR a six YEAR old TO score FROM. can you let me know if there should be a penalty mark inside the 10 yard penalty area Answer provided by Referee Chuck Fleischer 11/30/2005Steve the size of the field is one of the things that may be changed, subject to the agreement of the National Association concerned. So if there has been a change your club, league or whatever will know the answer you seek. Sadly we don't know ALL the answers... ..Regards,

View Referee Chuck Fleischer profile Answer provided by Referee Keith Contarino 11/30/2005Check ytour state regs. Our U10 fields have a 10 yard penalty spot. Everyone under has no penalty spot and, of course, the normal penalty spot is 12 yards
