Law 1- The Field 11/30/2005

RE: 7 Adult

Steve of , asks...

On mini soccer ( under 11's ) I was asked WHERE do they take a penalty kick FROM, AS they thought ten yards was too far FROM the goal FOR a six YEAR old TO score FROM. can you let me know if there should be a penalty mark inside the 10 yard penalty area

Answer provided by Referee Chuck Fleischer 11/30/2005

Steve the size of the field is one of the things that may be changed, subject to the agreement of the National Association concerned. So if there has been a change your club, league or whatever will know the answer you seek. Sadly we don't know ALL the answers... ..Regards,

Check ytour state regs. Our U10 fields have a 10 yard penalty spot. Everyone under has no penalty spot and, of course, the normal penalty spot is 12 yards
