I will soon become a referee so that I can stay connected to the sport I grew up loving. What shoes should referees wear?

Black shoes! Many referees wear player shoes that are black. There are also special referees shoes.

Comfortable shoes that are mostly black. The cheaper the better, price wise not construction based.

I personally like all black cross trainers by New Balance and Reebok. Can usually find these at discount shoe places in the $30 range and buy 6 or more pair at a time. I have a pai of soccer cleats that I bring for particularly muddy days.
