However many he wants. Each referee has own unique way to end game. I blow twice and point to center circle.

Thats up to the ref himself, I always do 2 at halftime and 3 at full time, and point to exit...

I've always done 2 for the half and three to end the game but have no idea why. I probably heard someone else do this a long time ago and copied.

I perform 3 whistles with the second strung into the third just to differentiate it from any other whistle I might use during the match. There isn't really a right or wrong way but I'd suggest something fairly short and distinctive.
