Question Number: 18550Law 10 - Method of Scoring 3/16/2008RE: competive Under 11 Rich Wahoski of Brownstown, MI USA asks...If a shot is taken and it goes post to post in the air but does not go into the net, is it a goal? What about indoor rules? Answer provided by Referee Gary Voshol I don't know about indoor rules, as each facility can make up their own. They also frequently hire and train their own referees.
In a match played under the Laws of the Game, it is not a goal unless the entire ball passes the entire line, between the goalposts and under the crossbar.
