RE: Adult

ken barker of Clacton, Essex UK asks...

Has there ever been a football game in the Uk without there being a corner taken

Answer provided by Referee Gary Voshol

Most likely. I do several youth games per year here in the States that don't have any corner kicks. I can't imagine it would be any different in the UK. I imagine that if you were to look at statistics tables from EPL matches, you'd find at least one or two without any corners having been taken.

I am sure that happens. I have seen it happen before.

The better question is - has there ever been a game of professional football in England that was played without a foul. I wonder!!

Answer provided by Referee Richard Dawson

At what level?
Surely at some level somewhere in the UK this could occur.
At the premier level of games I watched I can recall one side not having any but not both sides. But it would be interesting to check the statistics somebody no doubt would know.
Cheers
