Question Number: 18990Law 10 - Method of Scoring 5/5/2008RE: Competitive Travel Under 10 Ron Hausner of Carol Stream, IL USA asks...Can a goal be scored when a goalie punts a ball into the opponent's goal with no other player on the field touching the ball (i.e., directly off the goalie's foot into the opponent's goal)? Answer provided by Referee Gary Voshol Yes. Unless you are playing under some set of modified rules made up by those enlightened folks, who don't think U10 players can abide by the Laws that govern the rest of Football. A common modification made is that, since we made the field so small, we aren't going to let the goalkeeper kick the ball across the half line.
