Question Number: 19068Law 3 - Number of Players 5/12/2008RE: REC Under 11 Taylor LaGrange of Nashville, TN USA asks...If the game ends in a tie, and the game goes to PK's does the same goalie have to play keeper in the PK's. Or can a player who was on the field at the final whistle put on the keeper jersey and assume the duty of keeper? Answer provided by Referee Richard Dawson Any player on the field at th end of the match can exchange with the keeper! Cheers

View Referee Keith Contarino profile Answer provided by Referee Gary Voshol The team may change goalkeepers for every kick if they so desire. Any goalkeeper used must be one of the players on the field at the end of the game.
Why does a U11 rec game have to go to kicks from the penalty mark to determine a winner? Games at that level should be played for the experience, not the win. Sorry, off-topic rant.
