Question Number: 30819

Kicks From The Penalty mark 9/25/2016

RE: FIFA international Referee Professional

Omar of Mogadishu, Banaadir Somalia asks...

if the kicks from the penalty mark the team has used it's maximum permitted number of substitute and the goal keeper is injuried May he be replaced by excluded player?

Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh

Hi Omar
That is not possible. The goalkeeper is replaced by an on-field player should that occur. It can only happen if a team has not used all of its number of substitutes.
