Question Number: 550

Appearance

Chuck of Big Rapids, MI USA asks...

REf socks - sources ..This may seem trivial, however it is a real problem. All of the ref socks that I have purchased for referees here recently have nylon uppers which, while they don't slide down, are so tight that they are uncomfortable for some - and some can't even pull them all the way up! We have some sockless refs!!!..Any leads on suppliers of socks for those whose legs don't look like Twiggy's (or Julie Roberts for the younger of you)?..many thanks

Answer provided by Referee Stacy Kalstrom

Official Sports sells socks in two diferent sizes. They are not the ones that are super tight. You might try them. You can call their toll free number to receive a catalog 800-782-2614. I think they have a website as well...Good luck.

Official Sports have my vote as well and they don't even pay me to say that. They are also on the web at www.officialsports.com.
