Question Number: 7343Pre-Game RE: Under 16 Christine of Saratoga Springs, NY USA asks...I have to write a research paper for my gym class on pro soccer referees. I need to know what kind of education you need and how much a referee makes. Answer provided by Referee Chuck Fleischer Christine education needed is based on two things, first off is an ability to read and write and demonstrate so by taking written examinations. Then there is experience as a referee and that can be as little as ten to fifteen years. Regarding the pay, it's not nearly enough... ..Regards,
