Law 12 - Fouls and Misconduct

RE: Under 14

Giorgio of New Yprk, n.y America asks...

if you get a red card then after the game you go up to the ref to tell him sorry and he tells you get out of here i dont want to talk to you and you tell him a curse in your own language even if he understands it or not can he make a reposrt and suspend you?

Answer provided by Referee Chuck Fleischer

Most assuredely, shame on you. Learn something form this too. The referee never suspends you, he writes a report and the tournament committee suspends you. This is all your fault, not the referee's. ..Regards,

Answer provided by Referee Keith Contarino

You already have a red card and now you're adding to what the referee will write in his report which will only make things worse for you. Instead of a 1 game suspenaion you may now end up with 3. Better to keep quiet.

Answer provided by Referee Morley

The referee can report anything at all until he leaves the ground. If a player swore at me after the game you can bet your bottom dollar I would report him.
