Question Number: 8964Appearance RE: Div1 Under 15 Donovan Dowling of Olathe, Kansas USA asks...When I am on a job I sometimes find myself with a referee that does not have all of his colored uniforms.(sometimes only yellow) I found my self in a game where the teams conflicted with the AR's uniform so I had both of the AR's where yellow as i wore the blue. What should I have done in that situation? Asked for a new ref? Done what I did? Or something else? Answer provided by Referee Chuck Fleischer Donovan it is the policy in USSF that the referee and his assistants will wear the same color and length shirt. When you guys are in a different color you are wrong. ..Regards,

View Referee Chuck Fleischer profileAnswer provided by Referee Dawson Hi Donavan,. speaking policy REf Fleischer as a USSF referee instructor has given you the correct goods. If you switched the ARs to yellow you might as well follow. However was one of the teams playing in yellow strip, was that the issue? And all the AR had was a yellow referee jersey?. I like leagues were colour of team strips are know before hand and contact with officials occur before match rather than at it! I think you do what you can to get the game in. Some newer referees might not have ALL the required strips yet. Here I wear black and no teams are allowed to wear black makes it easy! Cheers
