Can you settle a debate for me?.What are the rules regarding team colours? Does a solid blue shirt legally clash with blue and white stripes, hoops or checks?

As long as the referee thinks the two uniforms are easily distinguishable, there is no problem with two teams having some similar colors in their jerseys. ..The referee would probably do well to take the team's opinions into account here as well. If one of the team's complains about the colors being too close, or if the referee observes a few errant passes being played directly to opponents by accident, then maybe the referee should change his mind about whether there is a conflict here.
