Question Number: 14034Law 7 - Match Duration 10/3/2006RE: Rec Under 13 Jay of Temecula, CA USA asks...My team is awarded a corner kick near the end of the first half. My player takes the kick and the Referee blows the half over the second she touches the ball.
Question is, should the Referee allow the corner kick to "play out" before ending the half, or do as he did and negate the advantage gained by be awarded the corner?
Thanks,
Jay Answer provided by Referee Chuck Fleischer I'll bet the defense thought differently! Time was up, the referee signaled time had expired by blowing the whistle. Another bet, time was up before the kick and he blew, only the kicker had just hit the ball.
