Question Number: 14152Law 4 - Players Equipment 10/16/2006RE: competive High School Eric Stein of oswego, new york USA asks...What are all the regulations when it comes to footwear and saftey? Can their be a proective plate in a shoe? And where can i find all of the rules for my problem?
17 Oct 06 i want to know all the legal specifications of a cleat. if you can have metal in it... i can find any rule book that has all the regulations
Answer provided by Referee Ben Mueller FIFA says anything considered dangerous by referee is not allowed. So much is at the discretion of the referee. Also, FIFA mentions no jewlrey, shin gaurds must provide reasonable degree of protection, players must wear socks, shoes, shirts, shorts, and shinguards. A lot is also at the discretion of the league.
