Question Number: 14350Law 4 - Players Equipment 11/3/2006RE: Select Under 14 Franco of in, Bloomington USA asks...This question is a follow up to question 13976 In reference to question 13976 where Mr Fleischer answered the question and said that toe cleats have been discussed at US SOCCER and it has been put in writing that they are forbidden. (I can't find it)
I searched the Advice to Referees 2006 and cannot find any statement about toe cleats being forbidden. Where is it written in US Soccer. I cannot find anything specific about it in FIFA Laws either, I realize its up to the referee but it stated that it has been written so I would like to find it. Thank you Franco Answer provided by Referee Chuck Fleischer http://images.ussoccer.com/Documents/cms/ussf/Grade_8_part1.pdf slide 74.
There is a position paper of something of the like running around it could have been on the Ask a Referee though a search of their database yielded no result. Perhaps this paper has gone away.
