Question Number: 14780Mechanics 2/2/2007RE: Pro Under 17 Chris of Deerfield Beach, Florida U.S. asks...This question is a follow up to question 14764 But whaat hand signals do they use? I always see them pointing in the air with both hands and then somehwere else. Answer provided by Referee Gary Voshol USSF's "Guide to Procedures" ( http://images.ussoccer.com/Documents/cms/ussf/GuidetToProc0607.pdf ) says the ref is to point to the center circle when signaling the end of the game.

Also signals are not all standardized from these variations. In the high school dual system the trail referee crosses his arms over his head or else a horn goes to end play. I do as my colleague Ref Voshol indicates with both hands pointing to centre as I blow the whistle three long blasts! Cheers
