View Referee Chuck Fleischer profileAnswer provided by Referee Richard Dawson Hi Liz, Kicking a ball barefoot teaches respect and toe punts generally are not going to occur, knee over the ball, lock the foot, catch the ball midline do not lean back or dig underneath the ball. Correct skills make good habits that are ingrained into muscle memory! Have a good coach or player with good technique teach the correct way to kick a ball otherwise bad habits develope and the longer bad habits go uncorrected the harder it is to lose them. Cheers
