You need to check your local policies here. What are the policies in the league? Since you are in Scotland, it may be different than what we are used to here.

it is likely the field size is reduced for 7 aside but the laws permit a goal scored directly from a kick off in a normal 11 aside match. I suspect it is a good goal unless your league had changed the standards in someway? Like make all free kicks indirect. I have seen and heard of minor soccer leagues doing that on occasion. Cheers
