into own goal it is a corner kick for opponents
into opponent's goal it is a goal kick

View Referee Ben Mueller profileAnswer provided by Referee Gary Voshol The reason for the restarts noted by my colleagues is because the ball went out of play over the end line, and a goal was not scored. That is nearly the exact wording in the Laws for goal kicks and corner kicks.
