Question Number: 15083Law 12 - Fouls and Misconduct 3/31/2007RE: rec Adult tony of johanesburg, gauteng south africa asks...when you pass a ball back to a keeper witch parts of your body can you use so that the keeper can pick the ball up Answer provided by Referee Richard Dawson Hi Tony, any part but the arms and feet plus remember no circumvention ie flipping the bal up to your head wth the feet or goinging down to the ground on your knees to head or knee the ball to the keeper to get around the rules ! Cheers

View Referee Chuck Fleischer profileAnswer provided by Referee Ben Mueller Law 12 says "kicks" so that means only the feet are a no, no. Of course, the defender cannot play the ball back through handling the ball deliberatly.
