Question Number: 15163Law 14 - Penalty kick 4/11/2007RE: club Under 15 Willie of Great Falls, MT USA asks...This question is a follow up to question 15009 If during penalty kick -If pk kicker, kicks ball and bounces off cross bar or goalee, is the ball live and anyone can then score or defend? Answer provided by Referee Richard Dawson Hi Willie, if it is a pk during live play not extended or in shoot out mode only the actual PK kicker is excluded from touching the ball a second time UNTIL someone of the other 21 players on the field (includes the opposing keeper) make contact. A rebound of the ball off the keeper, the PK kicker can shoot again ! A rebound of the ball off the post or crossbar as the ball has not yet touched another player the PK kicker CANNOT play that ball just yet! If he did it is an INDFK out for the defending team! Cheers
