Question Number: 15238Law 3 - Number of Players 4/22/2007RE: Select Under 15 Dave Eberle of Clarkston, WA USA asks...In USSF Youth Soccer, are substitutions permitted during Free Kicks?
Thank you in advance for your assistance. Answer provided by Referee Steve Montanino That answer depends upon your local leagues rules!
I know US Youth Soccer's state, regional, and national championships have gone away from the specified sub times and reverted back to the laws of the game's position of sub on any stoppage (including free kicks). However, I can tell you that the major youth travel league in my area still regulates subs to goal kicks, half-time, team's own throw-in, and injuries.
So you'll want to check the rules of competition for the league you're working.
