Question Number: 15291Law 12 - Fouls and Misconduct 4/26/2007RE: competitive Under 17 john scally of sauchie, alloa scotland asks...This question is a follow up to question 15464 can a goalkeeper use a tee to place the ball on to to take a goalkick like they use in rugby Answer provided by Referee Gary Voshol No - in fact he's not even supposed to scuff up the grass to give the ball a better lie. All players have to play with the grass they're given. Since a goal kick can be placed anywhere inside the goal area, the keeper should be able to find a patch of grass that pleases him.
