Question Number: 15453Law 11 - Offside 5/11/2007RE: intermidiate College Mohamed Hijazi of shakra, nabatiyye lebanon asks...i'm thankful, & i was glad getting response on my inquiry. deep regards 2 d staff of asktheref and d referees in cooperation.
plz, i have a question: d 2 strikers have crossed d second last defender confronting d goalkeeper. the 1st passes d ball 2 d second that precedes him. is it offside.
thanks. Answer provided by Referee Gary Voshol A player is in an offside position if 3 things are all true: He is in the attacking half of the field, he is ahead of the 2nd to last defender, and he is ahead of the ball.
If a player in an offside position at the time the ball is last played by or last touches a teammate, and he then becomes involved in play, offside will be called.
It appears that offside would apply in your description of the play.

Offside, in this case, where is the ball in relation to the second attacker nearer the goal line or not. That determines offside position. This far forward nothing else matters.
