Topic: Ankle Clips

Please provide advice on how best to deal with preventing ankle clips from getting out of hand with U14 boys (Select).

The obvious answer is simply to not allow them. They are not part of the required uniform and if you feel they are dangerous then don't allow them.

Of course if you mean hacking then you have in your hand a whistle, use it. Then there is what you have in your pocket, Persistent Infringement of the Laws of the Game and if the problem doesn't stop, a second caution in the same match makes it go away.
