This question is a follow up to question 15595

This is a follow up question to #15595. Our ref association has stated that they are going to enforce the 'no headband' rule. We are a ladies league and the majority of players wear headbands to keep hair out of our faces. Is there anyway we can dispute this rule or have it removed all together? I just don't understand the need for it. Thanks.

Got to love making an issue out of a non issue!
Who are the ref association?
Why is this needed?
Ask those in charge what?s up and how is it dangerous or providing an unfair advantage?
It is a referee's discretion to look over any unsanctioned apparel and decide yes or no is it safe or unsafe? To find a normal elasticized head band UNIVERSALLY unsafe defies logic, next the pony tail as a weapon will be banned because you might take out an eye!
Obviously a group of male officials head up the intelligencer of this group!
If you all wear them might send a message!

What Ref Dawson meant to say is there's a old Roman Army expression for this kind of rule making; in the Latin: "une crockus shittus".

Oh geez.... that's ridiculous!. I wear a headband myself! Sometimes fashion it out of prewrap cuz my daughter raided my ref bag again!
