Question Number: 15963Law 13 - Free Kicks 7/7/2007RE: rec. Adult Roland Kruger of Okanagan Valley, B.C. Canada asks...During an IFK while the ref has his arm in the raised position, if the ball is kicked directly out of bounds before touching another player, does the ref maintain the arm up until it the ball has been played by another player? Answer provided by Referee Richard Dawson Hi Roland,
the arm stays up up until the ball goes into touch (out of play crosses over the boundry lines)then the restart be it a goal kick, corner kick or throw in no longer requires it.
