Answer provided by Referee Richard Dawson

Hi Megan
while I think it great you want to ask questions these are listed in the laws for easy reference as opposed to a situation that you might have difficulty.
I put them all here
(1) direct are penal fouls that can be kicked straight into the opposing goal Indirect require a second touch by any other player other than the kicker
law 13
(2)raised arm straight up in the air held there until the ball is touched a second time!
law 13
(3) see Ref Fleischers explanation on the home page at every team mates touch of the ball if there are teammates in the opposing half best have a look around there is no S in offside
law 11
(4) ANY attacking DFK (direct free kick )occurring inside the defending penalty area is upgraded to pk status
law 12 law 14
(5) as long as none of the 4 handling restrictions are in place mentioned in law 12
Six seconds of possession, a second touch of the ball after a hand release, no use of hands on a direct throw in from a team mate, no use of hands on a deliberately kicked ball by a team mate to the keeper
law 12
(6)INDFK (indirect free kick from the point of the infraction subject to the special circumstances of law 8 within the goal area in which case 6 yards from goal
law 12 law 8
(7) 12 yards
law 1 law 14
(8) no goal is awarded restart is goal kick if ball goes into opponents goal or a corner kick if ball goes in own goal!
law 13 law 10
(9) yes
law 17
(10) 6 yards if indfk in the goal area otherwise 10 yards all other times
law 12 law 13 law 8
(11) you have been cautioned
law 12
(12) two cautions where you are shown two yellow cards you will be shown a third card, a RED card and you will be sent off your team will play with 1 player less.
law 12
(13) red card is a shame card you have been sent off dismissed from further play in that match your team will play short and at least one match following you will not be able to participate, more depending on why you received the expulsion!
law 12
PS I suggest you take a beginning referee course it will help with these type of questions. Then you can ask situational ones that involve more thought!
Cheers
