Question Number: 16489Law 3 - Number of Players 8/30/2007RE: Travel Under 11 brian sniatkowski of Kinnelon, nj Morris asks...This question is a follow up to question 16446 I don't get Mr. Mueller's response to this question "The sweeper can be subbed for, but if its an international match...then the sweeper cannot be replaced."
Since when can any player not be subbed for in an international match? I always understood that a team has 3 subs and they can be used to replace any player.
Answer provided by Referee Ben Mueller Brian, in an international competition once a player has been pulled out of game (hence subbed for)...then that player can no longer participate in the remainder of the match. Youth games will modify this policy. That is what I meant by that.
