Question Number: 16993Law 7 - Match Duration 9/30/2007RE: select Under 11 Christa of maple ridge, b.c. canada asks...I was wondering if soccer has time outs? Answer provided by Referee Richard Dawson Hi Christa, as a rule 11 aside regulation soccer has only a half time interval of 15 minutes duration. In mini soccer I know some leagues have 3 aside, 5 aside etc. with quarters so 3 respites. I am not aware of timeouts even at the mini level but as Ref Voshol points out substitute breaks might be the same thing? Usually at a stoppage there is time to get a few points across. Often coaches are on the field in the younger kids mini games as well Cheers

But time outs as in other team sports, at the request of a player of coach? No.
