As the time clock buzzer went off the ball went into the net. Is this a goal or not. the ball went into the net and the goalee did not catch it . Is this a goal? Answer provided by Referee Gary Voshol If the ball went completely across the goal line, between the goal posts and under the crossbar, with no infraction of the rules by the attacking team, before time had expired, it is a goal. If it was not yet over the line when the buzzer sounded, no goal. High school sports administrators who wrote the NFHS rules thought this was a good thing.

You will find this to occur ONLY during a high school match -- not a high school aged match played by one of the local recreational or competitive leagues which falls under the US Soccer umbrella.
