Question Number: 17325Law 12 - Fouls and Misconduct 10/15/2007RE: Ayso Under 13 Keith of Byron Center, Michigan USA asks...After the keeper receives a ball from being scored, can he/she dribble it up the field beyond the penalty box without playing it to another teammate? Answer provided by Referee Richard Dawson Hi Kieth,
admittedly I am unclear what you are asking? So I will take a shot and say if a keeper prevents a goal or recieves a pass or stops a ball inside his own area with his hands and releases the ball to the ground and wishes to dribble the ball towards the opposition's end of the field while risky it certainly is allowed to leave his own area while dribbling the ball. The keeper is one of 11 players and has no restriction as to where he can dribble to only hisability to handle the ball is confined to his penalty area.
