RE: High School

Al Dugan of Belmar, NJ USA asks...

This question is a follow up to question 17318

Just a follow up on that corner kick number equaling a penalty myth...HS soccer in the late '60's in my area used to decide ties in favor of the team with MORE corners taken!!!! Yep, too many American Football athletic directors....

Answer provided by Referee Chuck Fleischer

I'm glad someone was able to clear that one up Al. Thanks.

Answer provided by Referee Keith Contarino

Only could High School come up with something so idiotic. In Georgia High SChool football sometimes games are decided on which team gains the most yards during overtime and last year there were 2 State Championship games that ended in ties with no winner declared! If they muck up football so badly it's small wonder they desecrate the laws of soccer.
