Question Number: 17560League Specific 10/28/2007RE: level 7 Under 10 simon terry of birmingham, united kingdom asks...can a manager of a small sided (mini soccer)team ask 2 different people to take charge of a half each or does the ref that starts the game finish the game Answer provided by Referee Richard Dawson Hi Simon, If a referee is assigned the match the teams have no say. If two kiddie teams have no referee, each team could take responsibility for a half although this is ususally in the 4, 5,6,7,8, year old catagory where coaches are allowd on the field and referees are not always available. The manager cannot decided who referees, the league must have policy to be followed. Check what that policy is! Cheers
