Question Number: 18591Law 7 - Match Duration 3/21/2008RE: Under 11 mat of fayetteville, ga us asks...how long does a u10 games last? Answer provided by Referee Gary Voshol The length of small-sided youth games depends on what form of rule modifications your league has adopted. The USYS *recommendation* - not mandate - is 25 minute halves. Our local youth organization happens to play 30 minute halves, because that's the way they've done it for years and years, and they saw no reason to change and lessen the players' playing time. If you are unsure of any league-specific rules, you should ask your assignor.

View Referee Gary Voshol profileAnswer provided by Referee Keith Contarino Mat, at your recert you were given a handbook. In it there's a page that lists all the GYSA modifications. GYSA states 2 30 minute halves with a minimum 5 minute halftime interval. In any case, you should be able to go to your local club's website and find out. Also, there are other U-10 modifications in Georgia that you should be familiar with. I've pasted the link to GYSA rules. Pay particular attention to sect 620 U10 Goalkeeper modifications
