Law 13 - Free Kicks 6/9/2008

Avery Haskell of op, ks usa asks...

On a free kick the ball hits the ref then the player who kicked it touches it again. double touch? legal?

Second touch by the kicker, before it has touched another player. Not permitted - IFK to the opponents.

Yes, this would be a second touch. The ball may not legally be touched a second time until it is touched by any other player. The referee is simply part of the field.
