Question Number: 1025Law 12 - Fouls and Misconduct tommy leboeuf of slidell, la u.s. asks...If there is a shot on goal by the offense and a defender intentionally handles the ball with his hand but the shot goes in the goal for a score. Is it a goal? Answer provided by Referee ref Yes, I would allow the goal, this woud be a good example of when to apply Advantage. I assume the defender is not the keeper. If the defender did stop the ball then he/she would be guilty of denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity and would be red carded and dismissed from the game.
