Question Number: 18028Law 12 - Fouls and Misconduct 11/30/2007RE: High School Under 17 Alic of Murrieta, CA USA asks...This question is a follow up to question 1025 I had been given a red card and kicked off the field for the rest of the game and also the next game. The reason was the when I made a goal I had taking off "ONE" of my shirts swung it around my head. We had to wear two shirts cause both teams had the same colors. So should I have been given a red card?? Answer provided by Referee Michelle Maloney If the referee thought you were taunting the other team with your shirt(s) in high school, you could have been sent off. In a USSF game, mostly likely taking off your shirt and waving it around would be a caution only, unless something else in your behavior elevated it to a sending off. Hard to know from what you wrote.
