DAVID SLEEZER of SIERRA VISTA , ARIZONA USA asks...

This question is a follow up to question 12033

THANK YOU FOR RESPONSE. TO SHED MORE LIGHT
ON THE SITUATION. AFTER THE LIGHTS WENT OUT ON AR STATED THE GAME WAS FINAL MY TEAM WINS THE HR STATED IT WAS NOT HIS DECISION TO MAKE WICH I BELIVE WAS THE RIGHT CALL. ANYWAYS A DECISION WAS MADE THAT MY TEAM IS STRIPPED OF THE GOAL WE MADE AND WE ARE TO RESTART THE TO OVERTIME PERIODS ALL OVER. I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT IS FAIR TO MY TEAM WHO FOUGHT HARD TO SCORE THAT GOAL TO BE STRIPPED OF IT BUT I DO NOT HAVE ANY RECOURSE OR ANY ONE ELSE TO APPEAL THIS DECISION TO AS I HAVE BEEN TOLD TO DROP IT THE DESICION IS FINAL. WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON BEING STRIPPED OF THE GOAL WE MADE AND STARTING OVER PLEASE.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH OR THOUGHTS ARE VERY HELPFULL AND USEFULL
COACH DAVID SLEEZER

The competition authority has ruled. You have an opportunity to show your kids respect for authority and abide by the decision without any griping about it. I have no idea as to why the authorities ruled as they did but 99.99% of the time, they are concerned about what is fair to both teams.

In filing a counter protest usually costs money and rarely works. Unless there are SPECIFIC regulations enshrined in your soccer constitution that lays out the standard the league committe decision is what you will abide by like it or not. UNless it goes against the national policy which your league plays under then possibly but those cases are rare indeed! Replaying JUST the overtime maybe the decsion but, in my opinion only, I would vote to replay the match! Cheers PS good luck mate
