Question Number: 13163

League Specific 6/24/2006

RE: FIFA

Jack of Pierrefons, QC Canada asks...

Now I know you guys specialize with referee and gameplay rules, but I'll just throw this one out... incase of a tie in the standings in the world cup, they have many different tie breakers published like most GF's etc... then the last resort in the drwing of lots... WHAT IS DRAWING OF LOTS?!?!? I sit an actual draw from a hat that FIFA is ashamed of saying or is it something else.

Answer provided by Referee Richard Dawson

Put a name in the hat reach in and who 's name is pulled goes through. Canada once benifited from such a draw in the GOLD cup a few years back and WON that tournament Cheers
