This question is a follow up to question 16724

Thank you for all your replies regarding my daughter and her hair. I did go to the head of the department for PCI and was told basically that oh well, its up to the coach. The coach says all girls must have their hair out of their eyes. My daughter got her hair cut shorter so that this wouldn't be a problem. This has left a very bad taste in my daughter's mouth for soccer and she has decided that maybe its not for her.
Thanks though, thought maybe I was being overly protective

No it is NOT up to the coach it is a totally bogus useless reason and the coach should be terminated! The School brought up on being overly stupid or a discrimination charge and the dense PCI department head also should resign! Let there be no doubt you are not over protective they are being incredably idiotic! I can understand if your daughter's hair posed a danger, beads in it or so long it was being tripped over or she cannot see but if you have a short crop and you cannot play because it will not go into a pony tail is so ridiculous. I respect your concern for your daughter and will not send along it to the national news media. Feel free though to use any of our corespondence to the school or coach as to what we think.
The Islamic headscarfs have nothing on this!
