Not to pick on Sean personally but this kind of made up decision is exactly why Ref's get (and sometimes deserve) little or no respect.

Hi Gary. Referees have to know the Laws and can't make up rules as they go along. Do what is required by the letter and spirit of the Laws and we're all fine

assuming we know which question you are refering too and just what Sean said the only dumb question is an unasked one.

I can not be too harsh on anyone who if incorrect wiilingly comes to our site for help. If Sean can now be correct upon recieving positive reinforcement and quality information then the site provides a useftul service N'est pas? Cheers
