Question Number: 13620Law 12 - Fouls and Misconduct 8/30/2006RE: rec Adult Nancy Semper of Chateauguay, Quebec Canada asks...If the opposing teams kicks the ball close to the goalie's box, is the goalie allowed to bring the ball, with her feet, into the box and pick it up with her hands? Answer provided by Referee Chuck Fleischer Yes, that is her job and she is permitted to handle the ball within her own penalty area for six seconds. There are no goalie boxes in this Game, only penalty areas and goal areas.
