Question Number: 13710League Specific 9/9/2006RE: Select High School Franco of Loogootee, Indiana USA asks...Are players in high school that have been red carded (disqualified) allowed to be substituted for regardless of the reason for the red card? Does a high school team ever play down do to disqualifications, assuming they have enough players?
What about college?
Franco Answer provided by Referee Chuck Fleischer In US High School a player disqualified for excessive celebration after a goal and a subsequent caution may be replaced with a substitute. In all other disqualifications the number of players is reduced. In NCAA the number of players is reduced when one is sent-off.
