View Referee Keith Contarino profileAnswer provided by Referee Chuck Fleischer In US High School allowance is made for commercially manufactured material for soccer goals affixed to the vertical portion of the goal post. Where the padding is made or what it looks like is unknown to me as I have never seen a padded goal post. The rest of the world finds no padding necessary.
