Contact. Soccer is a tough physical game even when the rules are followed.

Soccer is a contact sport. Football (a la NFL or Aussie Rules) is a collision sport.

Definately contact. The contact must be fair and not endanger that safety of the opponent when making a play for the ball.

Football is a competitive sport and physical contact between players is a normal and acceptable part of the game, however players must play within the Laws and respect the principles of fair play.
